I wanted to offer a neurodivergent perspective from one autistic person in case other ND folk are looking at this product and wondering.
I'm also not breastfeeding. I'm actually post menopausal and love the idea of being able to unzip the sides during hot flushes.
But, mostly, I bought this because I'm forever looking for tees that are made from decent material that won't trigger autistic sensory issues. Pilling is also a major sensory nightmare that triggers obsessive picking behaviours.
This item looked like it had an overall lovely smooth texture that wouldn't pill, and a good cut compared to the shapeless options of men's tees and the too cropped options for a lot of women's tees that don't flatter my bigger, softer belly. I knew maternity wear would have some room for me.
When I got it it felt absolutely fantastic, I was thrilled at the quality. The feel of the zips on my tummy was a little distracting at first. I hadn't thought about how firm they'd be, which affects the drape. And I maybe also could've gotten a smaller size. The shoulders get a bit crooked under a cardigan. But I'm really busty, so I always err on the side of caution and exchange if necessary. And these are all things I can work with if the fabric is right and doesn't pill, and so far, it's aces. I'm looking forward to buying more.
